A collaborative farming programme

Building a Collaborative Farming Future at South Ormsby

Middle World Farms CIC has chosen South Ormsby as the intended home for its next chapter. We are now developing a collaborative farming model that could bring together regenerative food production, new livestock enterprises, skills and technology on one remarkable Lincolnshire estate. The move remains subject to final agreement, but our preparation — and our intention to build something lasting — has already begun.

Who we are

Middle World Farms is a community interest company. We grow food regeneratively, support local food access, and build practical farm-management technology. Our purpose is community benefit: healthier soil, fairer food, and rural enterprises that can last.

Our intended move

We are working towards South Ormsby Estate in the Lincolnshire Wolds as the home of the next operation. That relationship is being developed in good faith. It remains subject to final agreement and contract. Nothing on this page should be read as a completed tenancy, planning consent or estate endorsement of every detail.

The collaborative model

The proposal is not a single farm doing everything. It is a cluster of complementary independent or partnered enterprises sharing a wider farming environment — market garden, livestock, processing and skills — around a common regenerative purpose.

Market garden and Lincoln Food Hub

Middle World Farms’ core focus remains growing and distributing fresh food. We intend to rebuild a chemical-free market garden and continue working with Lincoln Food Hub and local customers when fulfilment capacity returns. New subscriptions are paused during relocation.

Lincolnshire Buff poultry opportunity

We already keep a Lincolnshire Buff flock and see a serious breeding and production enterprise as part of the next chapter, subject to agreed access, animal-health responsibilities and facilities. This is an invitation to talk, not a vacancy with a start date.

Goat and added-value dairy opportunity

A small goat herd and later cheese or ice-cream production are being explored. They are not promised. Any dairy enterprise would need the right operator, hygiene standards, and agreed infrastructure.

Other growers and rural enterprises

We welcome credible complementary proposals from growers, processors and rural businesses. We will not over-promise land, housing or facilities. Serious, practical ideas will be discussed; speculative requests for free land will not.

Who may suit this

Experienced smallholders, livestock keepers, growers, or people with practical agricultural experience and a serious business ambition. We are looking for people who can build something real, not for unpaid labour or unarranged visits.

What this is not

  • Not a salaried vacancy with a guaranteed wage.
  • Not a free tenancy, house or plot of land.
  • Not a guarantee of finance, planning permission or estate facilities.
  • Not a completed offer from South Ormsby Estate.
